Dynamite young people’s SEND co-production group are involved in many projects, giving feedback and views to organisations. They also discuss issues that are topical and produce easy read documents to help other young people with SEND to understand subject areas or how to do things.
What is co-production?
Co production is where different parties come together to give their views, ideas and suggestions to a given project. So that everyone’s point of view is taken, and all the information is used when creating something new. (Dynamite’s definition)

- Accept people as they are
- Make sure you understand what we are saying, speak slowly and clearly do not use long words
- Body Language face the person you are talking to
- Use words that are easy to understand
- Have respect
- Allow time through a session for questions to be asked
- Making sure that everyone knows that it is important for young people to be listened to and involved in decision making
- Make all documents available in an easy- read format
- Everyone has a voice
